Windsurfing - I went to this spot a few weeks ago when the wind was gusting and the weather was nice. This was the first time back to the spot since Hurrican Ike hit the Texas Coast. The spot is a hit for kite borders and windsurfers. The waters are very shallow due to all the sand washed in to the bay. You can go out thousands of yards and it'll only be waist deep. Kite Boarders have a much better time since they're able to surf the shallower waters unlike the windsurfer with a fin that is just slightly too long to start off from the beach. Meaning you'll have to walk your gear out a few hundred yards from the beach to even get started. Thanks to Ike.
